ASTRAKHAN JEWISH CEMETERY

The Astrakhan Jewish Community received a donation of 2 million rubles at the end of 2021. The Jewish cemetery will receive half of this money for work on the improvement and renovation of it.
The Jewish cemetery of Astrakhan has been open since the end of the 18th century, and Jewish burials continue today there. It is unfortunate that most of the cemetery is in a dismal state. It is anticipated that the Community will devote a large amount of time and energy to improving the cemetery in 2022.
